JenerateIT
JenerateIT is an open source generation tool. With JenerateIT you may generate textual or binary files. That’s what you need to get started:
- Java
- JenerateIT core and user-interface (currently Eclipse is supported). You find the download information here.
- Structured information that may be read by means of Java – a.k.a. model
Generation logic is being developed by writing Java code with your Java-IDE and using the JenerateIT Java-API. There is no need to learn and use a template language. If you still want to use a template engine, you can do so by integrating one in your Java code.
JenerateIT is not bound to any specific Java-IDE. You may run it without a Java-IDE. With this you can generate in batch-mode within continuous integration processes or integrate JenerateIT with other tools.
Currently, we are in the process of releasing a beta version of JenerateIT 4. The JenerateIT core is already in beta, JenerateIT-Eclipse will soon follow.
Also, we are still setting up the hosting environment, the developer tools and making other preparations in order to get an up-and-running home for JenerateIT. If you are interested in getting notifications for what is going on here on the JenerateIT home, don’t hasitate to contact us.
